In every culture, everywhere in the world, and even in obscure tiny communities and settlements, every person has an idea about what a pregnant female should, or shouldn't eat. There seems to be no universally set up diet for the "pregnant female.".

GERMANY.

No alcohol, no cigarette smoking, no raw eggs or meat (salmonella).

FRANCE.

No alcohol, no unpasteurized cheese, avoid pu00e2tu00e9 and fois gras, no rare steaks.

ENGLAND.

No alcohol, no caffeine, no vitamin A, no raw milk, no raw or undercooked meat for instance Parma ham, no raw fish, smoked fish, no cheese specifically chu00e8vre, Brie, Camembert, soft blue cheese which include Danish blue and Roquefort.

NIGERIA.

No alcohol and drugs.

Avoid caffeinated drinks as much as possible. Don't take more than 300mg of caffeine in a day.

Avoid active and passive smoking.

Avoid eating canned food containing synthetic ingredients which can harm the child.

Don't eat papaya which contains the enzyme Papain. Research has found that it acts like prostaglandin and oxytocin generates labor or strengthens labor contractions.

No tea with your diet due to the fact that tea minimizes iron absorption.

Folic acid is found in green leafy vegetables (ugu leaf, oha leaf, uziza leaf, spinach, onion leaf) and also nuts.

When you become pregnant you are advised to eat at regular times, it's important to get more weight slowly as the pregnancy progresses and so keep away from sugary foods to minimize weight gain.

Make certain that you eat fruits each day, and drink lots and lots of water, a glass of water In between every meal and every snack should do.
